The old fortress which contains 53 images of stones called Sada Bhada

Description

This old Gond period fortress has 53 stone sculptures. They are known as "SadaBhada". One of the Sculpture represents a rider with an umbrella over-head. Before him there is a female, seated in a palanquin. The third sculpture is a standing figure of man with a sword and shield in hand. The sculpture is carved in yellow stone and is called "Bhadia-Sada." The other Sculpture are rather unimportant. According to the Gonds when they were the masters of this area, Sada-Bhada was their King. While he was proceeding with his marriage procession along this way all of them turned into these stone figures. These sculptures are dated to the medieval period.
