The Temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga (Kali). There is defaced inscription. The temple is said to belong to Hemadpanthis. The Temple of Ashta is built of Sandstone. In this temple currently the Garbhagriha and Antarala is located, a beautiful pillar work is seen in front of the sanctum of the temple. The Amalaka which is situated on the sikhara of the temple is broken. There are few temple remains are also scattered in the vicinity of this temple. Another Broken Mandapa is standing near the temple of Ashta. These remains gives the evidence that there were more temples located in early period. The temples are roughly dated back to 11th-12th century C.E.
