Old Fort
Description
This is a ruined fort surrounded by a moat. It has fortification wall and bastions made of bricks. As stated in a stone inscription found atBilaspur, dated back to circa 1114 C.E. the rulers of Lanji were feudatories of the Kalchuri Kings of Ratanpur. Another inscription from Lanji refers to a Yadava Chief RamanayakaLanji, was initially ruled by some Rajputs who were later subjugated by the Gonds.
