Matha at Raneh

Description

It is a double storied stone masonry building most probably built for the Mattamayura sect. Presently the building is known as the seat of the governor. The structure also comprises an inscription datable to circa 15th century C.E.  In front of this math many sculpture are kept which are dated back to 10th-12th century C.E. A door lintel and a Purnaghata pillar is also located at the same place. The Math is built of sandstone.
