Fort
Description
The town and fort is believed to be built by a Chandella Raja. It was rebuilt by Durga Singh, the Gond ruler of Gourjhamar. A prosperous settlement till about AD 1813 is seen, then subsequent to a massive fire it was depopulated, never to rise to its former glory.
