Caves bearing inscriptions of 1st century AD

Description

This site is a rock cut cave site which is roughly dated back to 1st century B.C.E. to 2nd century C.E. This site has various numbers of sculptures and Inscriptions. The inscription is engraved in Brahmi characters and Pali language. The Hill on which the caves are carved is of sandstone. There are few remains of probably of Shankh inscription also. This site is known as the oldest carved site of this region.
